The state of North Carolina offers Nursing Assistant I and Nursing Assistant II training programs. The nursing assistant II program trains individuals to perform more duties and tasks as a CNA. It is not possible to train as a CNA II until certification as a nursing Assistant I has been obtained. There are various nursing assistant programs available in North Carolina. Many programs are offered at nursing care facilities or in Community College settings. It is necessary to complete a training program approved by the state before sitting for the necessary certification exam.
Many programs are designed to be flexible in order to offer just about anyone the opportunity to receive training. For exam, the CNA program through Caring For Life, LLL has various scheduling options available as well as offering some of the classroom instruction online for students who cannot easily attend campus classes. This training program is also very affordable with tuition for less than $400. You should take your time to compare more than one training program to find the one that best matches your particular needs. All training programs are designed to prepare you to perform the necessary tasks as a nursing assistant and to be able to do so safely and effectively.

CNA Training Classes by State:
If you cannot afford to pay for your classes and really want to become a Certified Nurse Aide, there are a few other ways by which you can get free training this could be through a nursing home for which you’ll have to work after you finish your course or you can apply for Job Corps. There are also low cost CNA programs that range between 300 – 500 dollars, so look out for them and research well before you sign up for a specific class.
