CNA Training in FL – Florida

The state of Florida has many nursing assistant training programs for individuals who are interested in working as CNAs.  Before you can gain employment as a CNA, you will need to finish a training course in its entirety and then pass the necessary certification exam.  Nursing assistants must complete additional training each year in order to maintain certification.  The continuing education credits cover topics such as:  communication skills, domestic violence, patient rights and patient privacy.  You will need to have 12 hours of in-service training or continuing education credits each year.  In many cases, your employer will cover the cost of the additional education each year.  Retain your records of all training you receive for a four year period in case the Nursing Aide Registry needs to verify your credits.

Nursing assistant training courses will also cover areas such as infection control and prevention of bed sores and patient infections.  There are many opportunities for employment as a certified nursing assistant in the state of Florida.  You can work in continuing are communities, long-term care facilities and other nursing care facilities.  Some hospitals and rehabilitation centers higher CNAs.  You can also seek employment in the home health sector of the industry.

It’s not difficult to get access to free training in Florida, you can approach a nursing home who are willing to employ you and provide on the job training and would probably pay for your cna classes in another facility with the clause that you’ll work for that nursing home for a specified period of time.
