Free CNA Training in MN – Minnesota

You can enter into an entry-level nursing career by starting out as a certified nursing assistant.  In order to do so, you will need to take a CNA training course that has been approved for the state and then to pass the certification exam.  You can even take the time to search for free cna training options in Minnesota. See below for a list of free and low cost training opportunities.

If you are still in high school and know you want to work as a certified nursing assistant upon graduation, you might want to enter into a career-training program.  Some high schools actually offer state-approved training courses for career prep students.  Your training will be free if it is part of your curriculum for high school.

Call the continuing care communities and other nursing care providers that are located near you.  You will find that many of these healthcare providers offer training for prospective nursing assistants at their facilities.  You will be able to receive your certification for free if you are offered training in exchange for working at the facility for a specified amount of time.  You will be able to benefit from free training and employment.

When you are considering a nursing assistant training program, talk to the program administrator about any scholarships that might be available to you.  Many programs offer scholarships for which prospective students can apply.  Other types of financial aid might also be available depending on where you are attending nursing assistant training.

Call the local job placement office or unemployment office if you are a displaced worker or homemaker and are looking to start a new career.  Career training assistance is often available for individuals who are currently unemployed.  You might find that you can receive help to cover the costs associated with completing a nursing assistant training program.

Take your time to search for free training options in Minnesota.  If you already paid for your own training and have now been offered for employment, ask for reimbursement for your training program.
