Free CNA Training in NH – New Hampshire

You should be proud of yourself if you have decided to start a career as a certified nursing assistant in New Hampshire.  Before you can work as a CNA, you will need to enroll in one of the training programs that have been approved by the Board of Nursing.  You must pass the course and then pass the subsequent certification exam.  Most training courses have a fee, though you can find some free cna training options. See below for a list of free training opportunities.

Look for nursing assistant programs in your local area as your first option.  Talk to program directors to determine if the cna training program offers any scholarships or grants for qualified applicants.  There are often scholarships and other financial options for individuals who are looking to start a new career but who cannot cover the cost of training.

Talk to nursing care facilities in your area.  Nursing care providers often offer nursing assistant training for individuals who wish to work for the facility as a CNA.  You will most likely need to agree to work for the nursing care provider for several months or more if you want to receive free cna training.  This is a good way to receive your training while also obtaining your first job as a cna.

The State Board of Nursing in New Hampshire approves the nursing assistant training programs.  They know quite a lot about the training options in New Hampshire.  You should contact the Board of Nursing to determine if the state of New Hampshire offers free training for prospective CNAs at any of the training locations. Someone at the Nursing Board might also be able to refer you to organizations and programs that offer scholarships and grants.

If you are currently unemployed or receiving welfare benefits, you should talk to your caseworker or unemployment representative about your goal to train as a certified nursing assistant. You might qualify to receive assistance paying for the necessary training.
