Free CNA Training in KS – Kansas

It will be necessary to attend a training course that has been approved by the state of Kansas if you want to start a career as a certified nursing assistant.  Before you can receive certification, you will also need to pass the exam for certification.  You should keep in mind that it is sometimes even possible to receive free cna training. Scroll below for a list of free and low cost training options available to you.

You can receive CNA training for free if you are currently working for an employer as a non-certified nursing aid if they are requiring that you earn your certification.  The same is true if you are offered training to become a certified nursing assistant for their facility.  This is all based on regulations set forth by the Department of Health and Environment in Kansas.  Your employer will need to pay any fees associated with your certification or will need to provide you with free training directly.

Sometimes you will receive an offer of employment from a healthcare facility before you have become certified.  If this is the case, that employer will need to pay for your certification.  When you are offered employment after having already received your certification, you can request reimbursement for your training if you paid for the expenses on your own.

You might very well enter into a training program for nursing assistants that is not offered directly by a nursing care or healthcare facility.  Some of these programs offer scholarships to help individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford training.  Talk to the administrators of nursing assistant training programs to determine if there are any grants or scholarships for which you can apply.
