Red Cross CNA Training

One of the best places to receive certified nursing assistant training is through the American Red Cross.  The American Red Cross has been providing nursing assistant training for about twenty years.  You can receive training from the name in disaster and emergency help that you can trust.  The Red Cross offers extensive training for individuals training to work as nursing assistants.   About 36 of the Red Cross chapters throughout the US offer training programs.  Check with the Red Cross chapters in your area to find any that might offer training for certified nursing assistants.

Red Cross CNA training prepares you well for a career working as a CNA in any healthcare setting.  You will receive the training you need to provide kind and considerate care to your patients.  The Red Cross CNA training will provide you with the knowledge you need to provide basic care for patients, work with other healthcare members and to monitor vital signs and chart information for patients.

Every Red Cross CNA training program must meet the requirements for curriculum and training as set forth by the state in which the Red Cross chapter is located.  A Red Cross Training program will sometimes offer even more training hours than required by state.  The Red Cross works hard to design courses that will provide students with everything they need to successfully complete certification and to work successfully as a CNA.

Red Cross CNA training courses are taught by nurses.  The nurses have experience with patients as well as supervisory experience.  Nurses have some flexibility in the design of the course as long as it meets all state standards and criteria.  Nursing assistant training programs offered by the CNA typically last for a few weeks and can cost anywhere from $800-$1400.  In some locations the tuition might be lower and higher than that average.

A training program offered by the Red Cross will include classroom instruction not to mention laboratory studies.  Students will have to read textbook materials, complete worksheets and even take exams and quizzes.  Instructional and demonstration videos are commonly used to help prepare students for a career as a CNA as well.

The course will also provide students with the necessary hands on training in a clinical setting.  Students will learn how to provide the best possible care for patients regardless of the healthcare setting in which they work.  They will work with patients and interact with other medical professionals in order to start a nursing assistant career.

Students who have completed a Red Cross Training program seem to do exceptionally well when it comes time to take the nursing assistant competency exam.  In fact, they often do better on the test than students who take other training courses.  Anyone who completes the certification exam must be able to pass both the written and skills part of the certification exam.

You should consider training through the American Red Cross if you want to receive the best quality training.  Training through the Red Cross will make it easy for you prepare for the nursing assistant competency exam in your state.

I am trying to get information regarding the CNA classes so I can get my certificate to take the CNA state test and work as a CNA while attending college for my RN degree.

I live in the Panama City, Florida area.

Any information you can send me via email would be very helpful.
